The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage have launched a public consultation on its new Statement of Strategy to deliver on the new Programme for Government.
The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage is currently drafting its Statement of Strategy for the period 2025– 2027. The Statement of Strategy reflects the Department’s commitments in the Programme for Government, the Climate Action Plan and the National Planning Framework among others. The new Strategy will be updated to address the aims and objectives of the newly agreed Programme for Government 2025-2030.
The Strategy Statement serves as a framework for the department’s work, structured around the department’s mission and seven strategic goals. It provides information on how progress in achieving those goals will be monitored, by identifying measurable outputs, outcomes and performance indicator

This consultation provides an opportunity to shape that work to ensure that measures are specific and targeted to achieve the desired outcomes.
Department is now inviting submissions in relation to its Strategy Statement.
It is requested that submissions are emailed to strategy@housing.gov.ie .
The closing date for receipt of submissions is 5pm, Friday 28 March 2025
