On 28th July 2021, Irish Water has changed its customer contact numbers
Irish Water has changed its customer contact numbers to non-geographic prefixes 1800 (free) and 0818 numbers (standard rates). The move addresses perceived customer confusion and high costs of using non geographic numbers.
The General Enquires numbers including operational issues is now 1800 278 278 with the dedicated Business Enquiries number changing to 0818 778 778.
In addition, Irish Water provides a dedicated service to Councillors/Deputies the Local/Oireachtas Representatives and this support desk can now be contacted on 0818 178 178 / 0818 578 578.
Irish Water customers who dial the old numbers will only be diverted to the new number until December 2021.
