New EU Awareness Campaign launched this week #OurEnvironmentOurFutureEU

This week the European Environment Agency (EEA) launched a communications campaign to capture stories of positive environmental actions taken by European citizens, in the hope that this knowledge will inspire other citizens to make a positive difference. This collective effort for a sustainable future is called ‘Our Environment: Our Future

Your actions in your words, what the EEA are looking for?

In 500-1000 characters, a citizen story should briefly describe the environmental issue you addressed and the positive difference you made. These could be creative fixes to your clothes, organising local clean-up days, inventing new recipes to reduce your family’s food waste, establishing community gardens and cycling paths, planting trees in cities and anything in between or beyond!

Why participate?

To show EU citizens collective efforts for a sustainable future and inspire many more actions, your story could be featured in the EEA’s communication efforts to complement the many environmental issues covered by EEA assessments and reports.

How to enter?

Submit stories formally via the online form and/or share it informally on your social media using the campaign hashtag #OurEnvironmentOurFutureEU before 30 September 2025.
