Newsletter No.13 Autumn 2023 is published

This Autumn Newsletter reports on the work of the Forum over this past three months.

We launched of our Policy Brief on Climate Change Impacts on Ireland’s Water Resources during Ireland’s second National Sustainable Development Goals Week in October.

To mark SDG week we shared a panel discussion between Dr Triona McGrath of the Water Forum with Dr Michelle McKeown of University College Cork and Dr Fiachra O’Loughlin of University College Dublin who completed the research that informed the policy brief recommendations.

Triona also presented the policy recommendations at the Environment Ireland Conference in September. The recommendations have been shared with the Department of Housing Local Government and Heritage and with the Climate Action Regional Offices (CARO) along with recommended actions for inclusion in Local Authority Climate Action Plans.
