SWMI consultation extended to 7th August 2020

Due to COVID-19 and the restrictions people faced during the public consultation period, Mr. Eoghan Murphy T.D., Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, has announced an extension to the public consultation on the Significant Water Management Issues for Ireland. The extended consultation will now run until Friday, 7th August 2020.

The consultation page on the Department’s website will be updated in due course but in the meantime the relevant documentation is still available at https://www.housing.gov.ie/water/water-quality/water-framework-directive/public-consultation-significant-water-management.

An Fóram Uisce encourages anyone who has a concern about water management in Ireland to take time to read these documents and if possible make a response on the significant water management issues that they would like to see progressed.
